Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) neural implant that has helped paralyzed rats walk again, may soon start human trials. e-Dura, is a new generation device that combines electrical and chemical stimulation. Soft and stretchable, it is the first implant of its kind that can be inserted directly on the spinal chord, without damaging it.
